Spraying after the week of rain in the middle of June

The Situation:
We had to spray this durum crop even if were cutting ruts. Got the headland done and then went to make my first pass.... then i got stuck. Just like if it fell into a hole, but one i could not see.
How We Got Unstuck:
We hung a 9420 Deere 4wd on it and just got it out. The hard part was trying to find a way out of the feild to go home and not get stuck again. The 4wd even had a hard time.
#1 Lesson Learned:
When you get 3" of rain one sunny day is not enough to dry things up.
